How to make a Christmas cookie tray?

Heavenly aromas, spirits, midnight masses, presents under the tree… Yes its Christmas time. Joy of giving to all!! And what’s Christmas without its pies, puddings and of course the Christmas cake (something of national significance) and cookies and candy cane. The list could go on.
One of my best friend’s remembers Christmas with cookies. She said her Christmas was incomplete without it and still carries on the tradition. Here’s an article which could help you in making the perfect cookie tray this Christmas.
The assortment of cookies and the embellishment of the cookie tray are very important and complicated too. So let’s get started, but before that pull back your hair and wear on your gloves. A cookie tray can contain a veritable treasure trove ranging from Christmas tree, butter cookie to sugar ones. You can preferably have 4 to 7 types (if you have the time to make that many types). Prepare the cookies or simply pick the best ones from the nearby baker.
You can have vanilla, russet, almond, cinnamon, lemon or coconut cookies for your tray. Do not forget to add the famous Chocolate chip or marble cookies which are famous with the kids. If your cookies have diverse sizes, start with the largest sized ones. Arrange the cookies in a pleasing pattern. You can arrange them in rows or different patterns, overlapping cookies are also allowed. Select several recipes you enjoy baking and get started. Each tray should have a nice variety of at least five different kinds of treats. If you are pressed for time around the holidays, it is fine to bake and freeze the cookies ahead of time. Remember to thaw them out before assembling your trays.
There’s no hard and fast rule that your cookie tray must hold only cookies and nothing else. You can have other treats in the tray too. Macaroons, brownies, truffles and pastries can be a delighted addition to your cookie tray. They can be decorated in accordance with a theme or occasion. The birthday cookie platter can be decorated with cakes, candles or balloons. Whilst the Easter Cookie trays can have funny bunny designs and candies. But a Christmas cookie trays is bound to have red, white candies and mistletoe.
Homemade cookie trays make great gifts too. Assemble the cookie trays at least one day before giving. You can wrap the cookie tray with plastic carefully. Use paper doilies to separate the different kinds of cookies/candies. Wrap with colored plastic food wrap, pretty cellophane, and ribbon. Don't forget to include a card wishing the recipient a joyous holiday season! Have a colorful bow on top. Deliver the trays personally and watch faces light up.
