Safety first, use best wrestling gears

Wrestling is a hand to hand combat. Two unarmed men using their fighting skills try to overwhelm the other by mere strength. Though there is not much of equipment required for a game of wrestling, protective gears can help a great deal to safeguard the wrestler from any injury. As the game is played with such fervor, the blows are likely to be of high intensity, and therefore, it is important that a wrestler protects him/herself from those unexpected blows.
A wrestler needs to wear a comfortable clothing, which does not restrict the movement of his/her body while fighting. They normally use a single piece of uniform called singlets, unlike other games where trunks and jerseys are used. Hence for an improved performance, clothing plays a vital role in wrestling. Normally, the materials used in making of singlets are spandex and nylon. The reason to prefer this material is because it is light weight and clings to the body . Therefore, it is difficult for the opponent to grab the cloth while the match is being played. There are three types of singlets used by wrestlers, high cut, fila cut, and low cut. They are worn on top of a suspensor. These days, you can find reversible singlets that can be worn inside out.
Next comes a set of protective gears that are used while engaging in a game of wrestling. The first among them is head gear, a protective cover used over the head. It also covers the ears and hence can be termed as ear guards too. As any injury to the head could be fatal, it is essential that a wrestler uses a better head gear while fighting. There are chances that a blow on the ear could cause damage the blood vessels in the ear and hence a ear guard is considered indispensable.
Knee and elbow pads are next in line when it comes to protective gears. Knee and elbow injuries are common for a wrestler as they tend to fall down often while fighting. Therefore, a guard to protect the knees and elbows can save a player from any form of serious injuries. While buying knee and elbow pad, ensure that they are not a hindrance while fighting. They should provide cushiony support and at the same time elasticity for easy movement of the hands and legs.
Face braces and jockstraps are used to protect the head and the male genitalia respectively. No sport gear is complete without a shoe, and likewise, in wrestling fighters use wrestling shoes that are flexible, light weight and offer great support to the ankle region.
Though a game of wrestling is an aggressive sport, with proper protective equipment from a quality sporting goods store, the sport could be a fun.
